·Overview of modular scheme:


Modular UPS adopts standard structure design, each system is composed of power module, monitoring module and static switch. Among them, the power module can be parallel and share the load equally. In case of failure, the system will exit automatically, and other power modules will bear the load, which can be expanded horizontally and vertically. The unique redundancy parallel technology makes the equipment free from single point failure to ensure the highest availability of power supply. All modules can be hot plug-in, can be replaced online, maintenance is the safest power protection scheme.


The scheme is composed of modular UPS host, intelligent distribution system and battery.




·Modular UPS host:


The modular UPS power module adopts the dual transformation on-line structure, including rectifier, inverter, charger, control circuit, and the breaker switch with the input and output battery bus. It has the function of input power factor compensation. All modules can be replaced by hot plug online, providing the highest level of availability and maintainability.


The modular UPS host control module adopts the industrial can bus control structure, and it is controlled and managed by two redundant hot plug control modules. A control module failure does not affect the normal operation of the system. The control module can be replaced by hot plug online. The parallel operation of power module is also managed by the control module. It operates according to the unified parallel parameters. A power module fault can automatically exit the parallel system, which will not harm the whole parallel system.


The modular UPS system adopts independent static bypass module, and does not adopt multiple static bypass structures to avoid overload damage caused by the uneven flow of multiple bypass. The accuracy of the output voltage of the parallel module is ± 1%, and the parallel circulation is less than 1%.


SNMP card is standard, and HTTP protocol, SNMP protocol and telnet protocol are adopted. Intelligent distribution system


The system is an integrated distribution integration system for input and output of UPS power supply, which is used with UPS host. It includes input switch, output switch, maintenance bypass switch and system main input switch of UPS, and auxiliary contacts are configured for main switch; current sensing system is included and communication with UPS host is included.


The distribution system consists of input and distribution unit, shunt output distribution module, monitoring module and isolation transformer. Each distribution module of the output distribution unit is equipped with 18 output shunt, the current of each shunt is set from 6a-32a on demand, and the three-phase balance is adjusted according to the configuration and change of the field load. The distribution system can install up to 6 plug-in distribution modules, and the number of distribution modules is optional.


The distribution system is the same size and color as UPS host. The standard configuration is: LCD display, UPS maintenance bypass panel (including system main input switch, UPS input switch, output switch, maintenance bypass switch, with auxiliary contact switch). The main board of the circuit is tested, the voltage and current sensor components of three-phase input and output, the current sensor of the neutral line and the ground wire, and the external EPO signal interface.


The input k value isolation transformer and branch current monitor can be optional.


The distribution system can be equipped with network card, which can monitor the parameters, status and history records and alarm information of the distribution cabinet through the network. It can monitor the input and output three-phase voltage, current, frequency, neutral current, ground current, KVA, kW, power factor, branch current, etc. of each phase. And can set the current high and low voltage alarm threshold.


External battery and battery cabinet


The battery adopts maintenance free and totally sealed lead-acid battery, and the battery capacity can be configured according to the needs. The battery is installed in the battery cabinet with the same brand and appearance and color as the ups host.




·Reliability analysis of modular single machine


To evaluate the reliability of UPS system to perform its duties, not only the MTBF of UPS, but also the MTTR of ups and MTBF of power supply shall be considered. When UPS fails and power supply fails, the load will lose power, that is to say, the failure of UPS key responsibilities. The length of time the load is exposed to unprotected mains power depends on the length of maintenance time. If it takes one week to maintain a ups and the average time of the power supply is one week, the load will lose power in case of UPS failure. If the MTTR of UPS is 1 hour, MTBF of municipal power will not have a great impact on the failure probability of critical load. Obviously, reducing the MTTR of ups will reduce the failure probability for critical loads. The best way to reduce the MTTR of UPS is to minimize the factors that may affect UPS maintenance. Modular single UPS is the best choice because of its online hot plug function.


In principle, the whole power supply system that undertakes the power supply task must adopt redundant power supply scheme with high "fault tolerance" function to ensure that whether it is in the event of failure of municipal power grid or any module (including system control module) failure, it is also in daily maintenance / maintenance operation or fuse burn out / breaker switch "trip" due to some reasons When the interconnection equipment is powered by inverter power supply of "online ups", it shall not enter the state of power supply by the common municipal power supply / emergency standby generator set via AC bypass of ups.
